Robin Shaw

Manager, Self Insurers of SA (SISA), Deputy Chair, National Council of Self Insurers

Robin commenced at SISA in October 2006 and was Chair of the National Council of Self Insurers from 2007- 2015. Robin has 30 years’ experience in statutory insurance management, including 12 years with WorkCover SA (now ReturnToWorkSA), 2 years in a senior role with the then SA Motor Accident Commission and the last 16 with SISA.

 He has extensive experience in:

 ·         Claims management in both no-fault and common law environments

·         Self-insurance

·         Design & management of performance indicators, reporting systems & data analysis

·         Design & management of audit programs

·         Workers compensation and civil liability legislation and policy

·         Internal audit, risk management & disaster recovery programs

·         Reinsurance

·         Relationships with authorities, professions and stakeholders

Robin holds a Professional Certificate in Management from Adelaide University and a Bachelor of Arts, with majors in Australian and international politics and history, from Flinders University.
