Postdoctoral Fellow, Black Dog Institute
Samineh Sanatkar is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Black Dog Institute’s Workplace Mental Health Research Team at UNSW, Sydney. Samineh completed her PhD at the University of Newcastle in 2016, where she examined individuals’ mental health outcomes based on personal characteristics and social psychological factors. Since her appointment with the Black Dog Institute in 2017, she has contributed to the evaluation of digital mental health interventions and has examined what constitutes engagement with online therapies across private and workplace settings. She recently commenced a program of research through which she is looking to help build a stronger evidence base to understand what factors improve or hinder workers recovering from mental ill health. This program is being developed by the Black Dog Institute in collaboration with the New South Wales State Insurance Regulatory Authority.
